Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately following established recipes and safety standards
Operate POS systems such as toast to process customer transactions efficiently
Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries with a positive attitude
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
Support food handling procedures, including proper storage, food safety practices, and sanitation in the kitchen area

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Familiarity with POS systems such as toast
Experience in customer service roles within the food industry or retail environments is beneficial
Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math are necessary
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and kitchen operations enhances your effectiveness in this role
Prior restaurant or café experience helps in understanding fast-paced food service dynamics
Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining high-quality service
