Job Summary
The Product Specialist (PS) is a support role responsible for assisting sales in the development of Finished Format products at the Clackamas site. The PS serves as the liaison of information between the customer, Business Development, Account Manager, Customer Service Representative and the Finished Format site during new business activation. The PS is responsible for maintaining and managing all administrative functions within the Clackamas ERP systems. The PS supports global accounts on documentation and regulatory needs. This role requires the ability to speak technically about all things finished format.
Play a key role in defining the market position of a product or brand, within the context of the overall product strategy, by conducting competitor analysis and market research, working with the sales team, and driving marketing initiatives to support product or brand awareness and sales. In addition to taking the product to market, this role ensures that the product meets the needs of the market and that data and research gained in the marketplace shape future product direction. Articulate the product and feature benefits and translate them into customer messaging. Give product demonstrations at trade shows and in webinars, deliver presentations, and create marketing collateral. Support bringing the product to market, driving adoption and equipping the sales team with the knowledge and tools to be successful.

QUALIFICATIONS
B.S./B.A. in relevant discipline, preferred
Customer relationship management experience in a B2B environment preferred
Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office suite of products
Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
Project management skills involving multiple simultaneous projects, with attention to detail and project completion
Confidence to work directly with customers at a technically detailed level
Experience working with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced project environment
Ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and previous experience dealing with diverse groups
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
Acknowledges and responds to all account needs in a timely manner either directly or through the assigned Account Manager / Business Development Manager.
Interfaces with internal departments to manage multiple account-related projects and ensure quality and timely completion
Prepares various reports to support the sales functions including: booked sales, YTD sales by account, year-over-year sales analysis at the account and product level
Analyzes customer satisfaction metrics and communicates opportunities to the executive team
Communicates due dates, timelines and expectations to internal departments
Identifies problems, summarizes and develops strategic solutions
Manages quoting and maintaining customer pricing for assigned accounts in partnership with leadership and assigned Account Manager. Able to make costing decisions and think critically about the customer price and its impact to customer relationship.
Assists in contract negotiations and manages internal special projects.
Demonstrates a high level of expertise in Finished Format capabilities
Ability to manage multiple projects at once. Demonstrates high levels of project management skills and abilities.
Capable of working with a diverse team and developing unique work structures best fit for the customer and internal team
Manages new product development projects, customer onboarding and special projects for assigned accounts and teams
Manages and maintains internal system data
Attends trade shows and offsite customer visits, as needed
Ability to be at the physical location of the job for the designated work schedule
Other duties as assigned
Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to: inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job. Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.
