Where You’ll Make a Difference
Create fragrances using captive, strategic IFF ingredients and naturals.
Apply odor evaluation methods and understand performance and stability of single ingredients and simple accords.
Provide feedback on key ingredients driving performance and optimize formulas using IFF’s portfolio.
Address stability issues and technical challenges in formulations for fine and consumer products.
Develop Competitive Product Analysis (CPAs) and optimize them for market relevance.
Simplify complex fragrances and adapt bases across categories (florals, fruits, spices, etc.).
Formulate according to regulatory requirements and apply insights to regional perfumery projects.
Interpret and reformulate other perfumers’ formulas skillfully.
Apply evaluation protocols for specific categories and construct consumer fragrance schemas.
What Makes You the Right Fit
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science preferred.
Graduate of IFF Shiftan program.
4–5 years of experience in fragrance creation, creative development, and teamwork.
Experience working in laboratories, both in application and fragrance compounding.
Strong understanding of aroma chemicals, naturals, and regulatory constraints.
Ability to articulate market trends and their impact on fragrance categories.
Skilled in holistic scent design and consumer-driven fragrance development.
