Responsibilities
The Quality Technician supports all facets of WayFare’s food safety and quality functions, with a mindset of continuous improvement. This critical role helps to enhance, maintain, and enforce food safety and quality standards. This is done through policies and programs including; food safety, regulatory, and other third-party audits, standard operating procedures (SOPs), product inspections, training and onboarding documents.
Qualifications
High School diploma or commensurate experience
A minimum of 2-3 years hands-on plant experience in a food manufacturing plant
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices
PCQI certification preferred or must obtain within 6 months (covered by company)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and computer-based applications.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Expertise in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (reading and writing in both)
