Brand & Trade Marketing Manager - DACH
Join MATR Foods and help shape the future of food. We’re bringing a new generation of delicious, fermented whole foods to market — and we’re looking for a Brand & Trade Marketing Manager to drive our brand and marketing activities in the German & Swiss market in close connection with our customers.
About MATR Foods
MATR Foods is a Danish food tech start-up on a mission to build a tastier, healthier and more sustainable future by changing the way we eat, through next generation fermented plant-based products. At MATR, we want to start a positive movement that brings people together around food that’s truly fit for the future.
We utilize nature’s own fungi fermentation to unify vegetables and legumes into natural and craveable food, for food lovers, by food lovers. We launched our first products in 2023 with great demand by consumers and customers, and now we’re entering the next stage of our journey with a full-scale production in our first of a kind factory build in Denmark and internationalization to Germany & Switzerland.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be responsible for implementing MATR’s brand strategy and driving activation at customer and consumer level in the DACH region. Your focus will be on executing key marketing initiatives and trade programs that grow sales, visibility, and brand love across the region. You’ll work closely with our DACH sales team, local customers, distributors, and creative partners to ensure MATR comes alive in every channel — from retail and food service to events, digital, and in-store experiences.
You’ll be part of a small, hands-on marketing team, but have your base in the German market alongside the local team. Key responsibilities include:
Execute local brand and trade marketing plans in close collaboration with local sales team and HQ Marketing in Copenhagen
Develop and implement in-store materials, POS activations, and shopper marketing campaigns
Manage consumer and customer events, tastings, and trade fairs across the region
Adapt global brand content and ensure consistent storytelling in local language across all channels
Coordinate with agencies and creative partners for local asset production and media execution
Support key customer launches and promotional activities with impactful communication and activation
Monitor performance and insights from campaigns and trade initiatives, and suggest improvements
What you’re bringing
3–5 years of experience in brand or trade marketing, preferably in FMCG or food
Strong executional mindset and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Hands-on experience with POS, activation, and campaign rollout, especially in digital
Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented, with a keen eye for detail
Excited about sustainable food innovation and purpose-driven brands
Comfortable working in a fast-growing, international start-up environment
Fluent in German and English (Danish is a plus)
Why join MATR Foods?
