At IFF we are now seeking a Country HR Manager based in Finland! The Country HR Manager role ensures adequate anchoring of IFF policies and compliance with local labor law and collective labor agreements (Chemical and Food Industry).
The role is based at the Hanko Plant in Finland (on-site role minimum 4 days a week) and will provide a combination of virtual and on-site visit HR support to other IFF plants and offices located in Kantvik, Jokioinen, Naantali, Jämsänkoski, Kotka and Vaasa. This role is part of the Nordic HR team that is based in Denmark and Finland.
Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Reporting to the Nordic Cluster HR Director, you will drive country HR support for our 500+ employees across our 7 locations in Finland.
- Work closely with HR Shared Services to ensure seamless delivery of HR services (onboarding, offboarding, lifecycle processes).
- Collaborate with and support our global HR teams incl. Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards (Compensation), People Analytics and People Connect (HR Shared Services)
- Ensure compliance with Finnish employment legislation and partner with managers to support employee relations cases effectively.
- Champion employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts and cultural initiatives.
- Monitor HR metrics and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions and improve employee experience.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Legal or related field.
- Proven experience in similar roles or HR BP roles, ideally with shared services (tiered delivery model) experience.
- Strong knowledge of Finnish employment law and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organization and unionized environment.
- Excellent communication in Finnish and English
- Solid stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across global and local teams.
- Team player, passionate about simplifying and standardizing end-to-end HR processes to improve both manager and employee experiences.
How Would You Stand Out?
- Proficiency in Workday or similar HRIS systems.
- Chemical Industry and Food Industry Collective Agreement knowledge.
- Experience with defining compliance requirements for HR policies in Finland.
