Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Transportation Specialist to provide safe and reliable transportation services for patients and clients. This role requires a professional with excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and a commitment to safety and maintenance standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in shuttle driving, delivery, bus driving, or similar roles, and possess the necessary licenses and certifications to operate various types of vehicles. Duties
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including shuttle buses, limousines, or specialized transport vans to pick up and drop off patients or clients.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing excellent customer service throughout the journey.
- Ensure all transportation is conducted in accordance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Manage scheduling and coordinate routes efficiently to meet client needs.
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading equipment or mobility devices.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or commercial driving roles such as school bus or limousine services.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., driver license).
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating routes and interacting with passengers.
- Experience in paratransit services or specialized transportation is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a focus on safety and service quality. Pay: $22.75 - $27.40 per hour
