As Senior R&T Officer, you will be responsible for development and modification of products. You will supports in relevant technology transfer and will play role in adding value to customers (In local and export market) through product development. You will also guide the process teams for trouble shooting of existing production issues related to product technology and compile data for research work.
What you will do:
- Product Development - Responsible for conducting investigation studies, laboratory and pilot testing, preparing documents, planning and executing lab and plant trials. Evaluate alternative product fabrication opportunities that can deliver benefits to the company or customers. Manage cross-functional interfaces to ensure project objectives are met and technical validation is achieved. Support process technology transfer as defined scope and perform all required analyses for R&T activities. Maintain and update the laboratory, ensuring proper conditions, equipment upkeep, and compliance with GLP standards. Conduct product shelf-life studies, assist in customer bulk trials, and contribute to technical initiatives that enhance product performance and reliability.
- Data Building - To establish the data on parameters for ready reference. Also, to keep record of all the research work while maintaining its confidentiality.
- Relationships and People - Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships to ensure good permeability among different areas and structures. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, challenge the status quo, and cultivate an environment of trust, collaboration, and partnership. Additionally, coach less experienced peers on current processes to leverage expertise within the team and across other functions.
- Agility and Innovation - Generate a local & global network Investigation and studies of new concepts, ideas, and processes for development of innovative products to enhance current company portfolio.
- Adding value to customers - Collaborate with strategic and partner customers to deliver effective solutions and conduct customer visits to identify opportunities for product development where required. Select ingredients that best fit product needs and provide guidance on optimal solutions. Maintain a deep understanding of technical differences, advantages, and disadvantages of our products compared to competitors. Support local technical service teams in ingredient-related matters, supervise introductory samples and pre-delivery dispatch, and arrange third-party analysis when necessary to ensure segment support and product integrity.
- Close interaction with Operation teams - Collaborate with knowledge and physical structures such as laboratories and analytical facilities, conduct technical training sessions for Rafhan/Ingredion teams, and provide support to the plant in troubleshooting issues related to existing or new ingredients. Upon requirement, the employee may occasionally visit MP and CWP plants.
- Knowledge Management - Knowledge transfer and sharing among cross functional teams including manufacturing, innovation, and Go-to-Market.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry. (16 years' Education)
- Min. 5 years' relevant experience
- Strong data analysis. Preference will be given to those with Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
- Knowledge in Analytical techniques & process environment
