About us:
Opalia is a Montreal-based startup leading the world’s transition to a more sustainable food system starting with cell-based milk products that don’t compromise on quality. The traditional dairy industry is responsible for the production of methane emissions, deforestation, and land overgrazing, as well as animal exploitation. Companies have been commercializing plant- and nut-based alternatives for several years. Unfortunately, these alternatives do not replicate the taste, functionality, or have the nutritional benefits of real dairy. This is why our team has set out to produce real milk with cow cells to offer consumers the milk that they know and love, without the consequences.
