Coperion Performance Materials is seeking a senior technology executive to serve as Operating Company CIO, responsible for leading the IT strategy, digital transformation, and technology operations for a global, high‑growth business. This role partners directly with the Coperion Performance Materials & Rotex Operating Company’s leadership team to drive modernization across ERP, Engineering systems, Sales Enablement, and Industry 4.0/IoT initiatives.
The Operating Company CIO operates within a global, matrixed IT environment and ensures that systems supporting Coperion Performance Materials and Rotex are secure, stable, compliant, and scalable. The role collaborates closely with Hillenbrand Shared Services and Coperion Performance Materials and Rotex data protection teams and leads a global IT organization spanning applications, infrastructure coordination, engineering systems, and IT compliance.
What You Will Lead
Develop and execute the IT strategy for Coperion Performance Materials and Rotex to ensure full alignment with business priorities.
Build strong partnerships with senior business leaders to shape technology roadmaps and transformation initiatives.
Drive digital innovation, including ERP modernization, Industry 4.0, IoT, and sales enablement solutions.
Oversee application teams responsible for build/run activities and ensure high service quality.
Partner with global corporate IT teams to ensure robust cybersecurity, infrastructure reliability, and enterprise application support.
Lead business case development and implementation of new technologies that enhance productivity and operational excellence.
Manage IT operating and capital budgets and ensure compliance with GDPR, SOX, and internal governance.
Lead a global team of directors, managers, regional site leaders, project managers, business analysts, developers, and service management professionals.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, or equivalent; MBA preferred.
15+ years of progressive IT experience and 10+ years in IT leadership roles.
Proven success leading large, complex transformation programs.
Experience with Engineering systems (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Plant3D) and ERP/CRM platforms (SAP, IFS, Navision, MAPICS, Salesforce).
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills at the senior level.
Deep understanding of business requirements analysis and IT operating processes.
International experience preferred; fluency in German and English required.
Reporting Structure
Reports to Hillenbrands CIO (solid line) with a dotted‑line relationship to Coperion Performance Materials executive leadership team.
Leads a global, multi‑disciplinary IT team
Strong senior‑level leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Deep understanding of business requirements analysis and IT operating processes.
International experience preferred; fluency in German and English required.
Reporting Relationships
Direct reports include Directors, managers, regional site managers, project managers, business analysts, developers, and service management personnel.
