Job Summary
Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and shut down manufacturing machinery, including extruders or computer-controlled tools.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they me specifications.
Maintenance & Cleaning: Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and keep the work area clean.
Monitoring & Efficiency: Monitor production processes to optimize performance, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
Reporting & Documentation: Record data regarding materials used and products produced, ensuring accurate documentation.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and health regulations to prevent hazards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
ability to read/understand shop floor papers, understand technical manuals, and operate machinery.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift materials (often up to 50 lbs.)
Attention to detail
Ability to communicate, work with a team, and report issues to supervision.
