Role Description
We are looking for a curious and motivated Food Science Intern to join our Product Development team. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of food innovation. You will support the team in developing new products, improving existing formulations, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and taste.
Location: Andheri (East), Mumbai, Onsite
Duration: 3-6 months
Qualification: Masters in Food Science/Processing/Technology
Key Responsibilities
Product Prototyping: Assist in bench-top recipe development and small-batch trials for various food applications.
Sensory Testing: Assist in setting up taste panels and organizing feedback data for analysis.
Ingredient Research: Help source and screen new raw materials and ingredients from suppliers.
Data Collection: Accurately record experimental observations, ingredient weights, and processing parameters during R&D runs.
Compliance Support: Assist in checking formulations against basic regulatory guidelines and labeling requirements.
Travel to factory: Assist in factory trials, may require travel to the factory in and outside of Mumbai.
Lab Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, including the calibration of basic equipment (scales, thermometers, etc).
Qualifications
Educational Background: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related degree.
Basic Kitchen/Lab Skills: Comfortable with standard culinary tools and precise measurement techniques.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to observe small changes in food texture, colour, and flavour and document them clearly.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings to the team.
Software: Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets for basic data entry and recipe calculations.

Eagerness to Learn: A genuine interest in food chemistry and the "why" behind ingredient interactions and blends technical R&D precision with hands-on culinary creativity to prototype and refine plant-based textures.
Detail-Oriented: A focus on accuracy, whether it's weighing a 0.5g spice sample or timing a cook test.
Team Player: Willingness to help with various tasks in a collaborative startup or lab environment.
