ABOUT MARINE BIOLOGICS
Marine Biologics makes SeaTex™, a seaweed-derived protein stabilizer sold B2B to food formulators and CPG brands — replacing synthetic and animal-derived stabilizers with a clean-label, ocean-farmed alternative. We are entering a high-growth commercial phase with a strong sample pipeline and expanding customer base.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re hiring our first dedicated Digital Marketing Lead to build and own the entire digital marketing function from the ground up. This is a builder seat: senior IC, direct CEO reporting, end-to-end ownership of how Marine Biologics and SeaTex show up digitally to food industry buyers, R&D teams, and strategic partners.
The right person is AI-native: you’ve already rebuilt your workflow around AI tooling and produce a small team’s output on your own. We want an agile operator who ships fast with an AI-augmented stack, not a traditional marketer with a big-agency playbook.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Digital Strategy & Execution. Design and run the full digital strategy for website, SEO/SEM, paid media, email/lifecycle, content, and social, focused on B2B demand gen into food formulators and CPG R&D.
- AI-First Content Engine. Build an AI-powered content pipeline producing white papers, application notes, case studies, videos, webinars, and landing pages at startup speed while maintaining scientific credibility.
- Demand Gen & Lead Nurture. Own top/mid-funnel: drive qualified inbound leads.
- Website & Digital Presence. Own web properties end-to-end (UX, conversion optimization, and content updates).
- Analytics & Martech. Instrument everything. Build dashboards, define KPIs, run test-and-learn. Select and manage the marketing tech stack (HubSpot or equiv, analytics, paid platforms, AI tools).
- Brand & Positioning. Translate technical product claims into compelling buyer-facing messaging. Support trade shows and events with digital assets and campaigns.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 5+ years hands-on digital marketing, with 2+ years in B2B or specialty ingredient/food/CPG.
- Demonstrable AI-native workflow. Walk us through your daily AI tools, automations, and the productivity multiplier they deliver.
- Track record building a digital marketing function from scratch at a startup or early-stage company.
- Deep expertise in SEO/SEM, content marketing, email/lifecycle, paid media, and marketing automation (HubSpot preferred).
- Strong copywriting skills. Able to translate complex food science into accessible, compelling content.
- Comfortable operating with high autonomy and direct CEO reporting.
Preferred
- Background in food ingredients, food science, biotech, or specialty chemicals. B2B preferred.
- Familiarity with the clean-label or sustainable food ingredient landscape.
