We are looking for a
PEOPLE SPECIALIST
As Solar Foods continues to grow, it has also become the right time to grow our People & Culture team. We are in the path of building people practices, processes, and systems to keep everyday work running smoothly for all our amazing Solar Foodists in five different countries. This position is our second hire in People & Culture team. So, you won’t just follow a playbook, you’ll help write it.
Our aim in Solar Foods is to create a workplace where Solar Foodists can grow, develop and stay motivated since we believe that motivated people make great things happen. When we feel engaged and valued, it drives creativity, collaboration, and long-term success. People and Culture team is in a key role to really make this happen.
This is a very hands-on role with a lot of operational and manual work – if you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting things done, you’ll feel right at home. In this role, you will:
· Run recruitment processes end-to-end. Because we hire a lot, recruitments are a shared team effort.
· Book onboardings and organize a smooth start for all new Solar Foodist
· Support our colleagues in everyday people topics
· Keep our people data up-to-date in all needed sources and do reporting
· Gather monthly payroll-related data from different sources for Solar Foodists in Finland
· Coordinate our personnel benefits, occupational health care, people related insurances, trainings and surveys
· Support compliance and documentation by maintaining policies, templates, and guidelines
· Contribute to People & Culture development work by supporting implementation and daily use of tools and processes

You’ll succeed in the is role if you have
· Relevant B.Sc. or M.Sc. educational background
· Hands-on experience from a few different organizations, where you’ve been personally involved in running HR processes throughout the full annual cycle rather than designing them.
· Good experience in end-to-end recruitment
· A basic understanding of basic Finnish employment legislation
· Experience in payroll is a big advantage
· A can-do attitude, take initiative and the ability to take things to the end
· Positive and customer service attitude
· You work accurately, pay close attention to detail, and don’t shy away from routines—they’re an important part of doing things right.
· Full professional working proficiency in Finnish and English.
· Good MS Office skills and familiarity with experience with HR systems
This is a full-time, permanent role, and requires working onsite at our headquarters in Vehkala, Vantaa. You report to Head of People & Culture Nina Koskela.
