Execute complex and strategic product registration activities required for processes dealing with the Ministry of Health. Ensure the provision of application files and prepare marketing authorization applications. Provide additional documentation for registration revisions and renewals throughout the evaluation process. Perform a follow-up on potential changes in a previously registered product and renewal deadlines for registrations. Ensure efficient and effective archiving of all documentation. May coach less experienced registration specialists.

Understands the overall role of Global Regulatory Affairs both internally as well as in relation to customers, regulatory authorities and trade associations.
Has a detailed understanding of the framework of regulations, product claims or certifications which are applicable to a broad range of customer requirements and applications.
ROLE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The position requires regulatory expertise, the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and experience working with Argentine regulatory authorities.
Use your product knowledge to complete customer and internal technical information (documentation) requests for the Latam region with the possibility of supporting the global team.
Contribute to the team performance by documenting and improving processes.
Follow trends regarding customer information demands and expectations and identify the need for further action in collaboration with the strategy lead.
Responsible for the management and obtainment of regulatory approvals and registrations for all products and flavorings manufactured at the Argentina site, before INAL and SENASA.
Direct interaction with regulatory authorities, coordination with external consultants and trade associations, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure timely approvals and ongoing regulatory compliance.
Collaboration with internal stakeholders (Regulatory, Quality, R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain) who depend on approved registrations to operate.
Ensuring regulatory compliance and continuity of business by maintaining valid and timely approvals.
Communicates effectively between departments and external associations with varying priorities.
Operates effectively within our regulatory systems, documentation systems, and office systems.
Provides customer support (internal and external) for flavors, colors, food ingredients/product safety and regulatory issues – including product compliance reviews and documentation.
Successfully manage the vast majority of all regulatory needs (e.g. customer requests, regulatory changes and requirements etc.
Collaborating with internal teams and authorities for product approvals.
Regulatory expertise, networking and advocacy with the main International, Regional and Local Trade Associations for the LATAM Argentina.
Defends and convinces the customer of the validity of the review/document, in cases where regulatory reviews produce results that are counter to what is expected or desired.
Coordinates review methodologies and establishes best practice procedures.
May participate in trade associations in a lead role specific to their expertise.
Demonstrating continuous learning mindset and flexibility to expand expertise into new regulations, applications, and regulatory processes.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, IFF TOOLS
Provides both guidance and mentoring to others, as subject matter expert.
Demonstrates advanced system/regulatory expertise to facilitate meeting regulatory needs (e.g. customer requests, regulatory changes and requirements) efficiently and effectively.
Spots potential issues and raises concerns regarding relevant topics such as documentation, hazard communication.
Has an advanced awareness of legislation, customer restrictions and trade association agreements with regards to material issues.
Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and informing stakeholders.
Provides technical support such as maintaining regulatory communications, creating standard reports such as regulatory/testing/risk reports.
Shows a clear expertise in the use of processes, tools and systems as needed (e.g. PLMIII / SAP for the purpose of regulatory reviews, the appropriate tools for documentation development.)
Required Skills:
The requirements will vary per job level, the following are the minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineer, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of food regulatory affairs experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the LATAM Argentina, South Cone and international regulations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Portuguese is plus.
- Problem solving and decision making skills.
- Strategic Thinking.
- Collaboration.
- Functional Technical Skills in relevant disciplines.
- Expertise in Systems, AI, PowerBi, others is plus.
