You will contribute to innovative chemical processes that are ready for real‑world application: production at an industrial scale. You serve as the link between the laboratory, the pilot plant, and production.
- You conduct literature research, assess safety and environmental risks, and translate these into a practical project plan. You convert project objectives into a feasible approach and work together with your N+1 to refine work plans. You design smart test setups that realistically simulate production processes on a laboratory scale.
- You plan experiments from A to Z: from reserving raw materials and equipment to checking and calibrating measuring instruments.
- You carry out experiments, observe reactions, and optimize processes based on chemical and physical parameters. You develop and refine analytical methods and work out purification and waste‑treatment methods. You compare alternative approaches and choose the best route for scalability toward industrial production.
- You accurately record all experimental data, prepare clear reports, and share insights during review meetings. You follow up on tests in the pilot plant, advise on optimizations, and support troubleshooting during scale‑up.
- You actively contribute to a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment and propose continuous safety improvements. You simulate production processes and accident scenarios on a laboratory scale to experimentally map safety risks.
