Greenhouse Manager, Grain Research Institute, Tel Aviv University
The institute deals with research in the field of grains and agriculture is looking for a greenhouse manager for a full-time and long-term position.
Responsibilities:
- Ongoing operation of the greenhouse facilities
- Maintenance and monitoring of irrigation, fertilization, and climate control systems
- Identification of diseases and pests and ongoing treatment of plants
- Identification of faults in the institute's facilities and contacting the appropriate parties for treatment
- Working with the research team and providing ongoing response to the needs of the laboratory and greenhouses
Job requirements:
- Background in the operation and establishment of plant growth systems - an advantage (irrigation systems, disease identification, spraying for pests, fertilization, etc.)
- Technical sense and ability to learn new fields
- Good interpersonal communication skills and high service ability
- Responsibility, order and ability to work independently
