The Role & Your Impact
As a Process Engineer, you will play a central role in both daily operations and the long-term development of the department. The role combines operational support with continuous improvement and product responsibility, ensuring processes remain in control and continuously optimized.
Key responsibilities include:
Drive performance improvements in the work center, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Take ownership of product performance, including yield, deviations, and quality compliance
Lead and facilitate systematic problem-solving using Lean tools and data-driven insights
Build deep process and equipment understanding to optimize performance and support new product introductions
Collaborate closely with operators, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure stable operations and continuous improvement
Support audits, quality compliance (GMP), and risk assessments for new procedures and equipment
Contribute to capacity optimization, bottleneck identification, and investment justifications
Act as an informal leader, supporting technical development and capability building in the team

Required qualifications:
Have an educational background as B. Sc. or M.Sc. within Chemical engineering, Biochemical engineering, Food Technology or similar
Experience working with production processes, optimization, or continuous improvement
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data and digital tools
Solid understanding of GMP or quality-controlled production environments
Fluency in English and Danish (written and spoken)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Skills & Interests We Value
While not required, the following will be considered an advantage:
Experience working in a biotechnological or food production environment
Knowledge of Lean methodologies (e.g., A3, 3C, performance boards)
Experience with digitalization and data-driven optimization
It is an advantage if you have an interest in equipment and technology and are motivated to continuously develop and strengthen your knowledge in this area

Ways of Working / Working Conditions
The role is based on-site in Kalundborg, where you will work closely within a 24/7 operational environment. The position requires flexibility, including occasional support outside normal working hours in critical situations. You will engage frequently with production teams in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
