Riverwalk Village is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and customer-focused Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing Wellness Team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for wellness with meaningful work that enhances the health, comfort, and quality of life of residents in our Independent Living and Assisted Living communities.
As a valued member of our wellness team, you will provide therapeutic massage services tailored to the unique needs of older adults while promoting a holistic approach to health and well-being. We are looking for professionals with exceptional interpersonal skills, a commitment to outstanding service, and experience in a variety of massage modalities. A flexible schedule is available.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional, therapeutic massage treatments in accordance with scheduled appointments.
- Deliver individualized care by assessing client needs and adapting techniques and pressure accordingly.
- Obtain and maintain detailed client health histories, including information regarding injuries, surgeries, medical conditions, and treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and clients to support ongoing wellness goals.
- Ensure punctuality and deliver services within the designated appointment times.
- Educate and motivate clients to embrace healthy lifestyle practices and overall wellness.
- Uphold and promote Riverwalk Village’s mission, values, and commitment to exceptional resident experiences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional treatment environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active New Jersey Massage Therapy License required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional massage therapy experience.
- Knowledge and proficiency in multiple massage modalities.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor.
- Strong communication, active listening, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with scheduling and recordkeeping systems.
- Ability to perform massage demonstrations and educate prospective clients about services.
- Experience working in a wellness, rehabilitation, therapy, or senior living environment preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse client population, including older adults with varying wellness needs.
