The Role: The Staff Accountant is a cornerstone of financial operations, ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and reliability of AgroFresh's LATAM financial data, based in Chile.
Responsibilities:
- Book entries under US GAAP and Local GAAP for various LATAM and other entities
- - Review payment proposals
- - Bank account reconciliation (shadow/transitory SAP GL bank accounts)
- - Account reconciliations in BlackLine
- - Review of intercompany reconciliation
- - Ensure correctness of accounts (accrual, prepayments, GR/IR, VAT, payroll)
- - VAT and WHT filings, EC-listings, Intrastat for entities in LATAM and other regions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Business Administration and solid accounting experience
- - Strong command of Excel and SAP
- - Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish (mandatory)
- - 2-5 years of accounting experience in an industrial environment
