The Role: The QC Chemist ensures AgroFresh products consistently meet quality, safety, and performance standards through accurate laboratory testing and close collaboration with production and product development teams. Onsite in Wapato, WA.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analyses on samples submitted to the laboratory
- - Inspect, approve, or reject packaging of finished goods prior to release
- - Analyze and approve or reject raw materials used by production
- - Prepare and standardize reagents for analysis and orders
- - Perform calibration and routine maintenance on lab equipment and instrumentation
- - Maintain records of analyses, samples, reagents, calibration, and maintenance
Requirements:
- BS in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience
- - Skills in computer use, spreadsheets, word processing
- - Experience with analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, GCMS) desired but not required
- - College-level mathematical skills
- - Ability to stand for long periods in a laboratory setting and perform physical inspection in the plant
