We are currently seeking a motivated intern to join our Protein Transition team from September 2026 onwards, for a period of 4 to 6 months. In this role, you will contribute to the Protein Transition Programme.

How will you contribute to our mission?
As a Protein Transition Intern, you will play an active role in accelerating the protein transition by supporting the innovation field and contributing to supporting and facilitating The Protein Community — a network of over 150 food companies working on alternative proteins. If you need to write a thesis, we’ll find a way to integrate this in your responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the organisation of events and activities for our partners in The Protein Community
Assisting in ongoing Foodvalley initiatives – e.g. by means of interviews or market analysis on relevant topics, like hybrid products
Supporting communication activities — from writing engaging content to coming up with creative formats and ways to engage the community
Contributing to the further development of Foodvalley’s Protein Transition Map, including online content and monitoring of updates

Your background:
You are currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s (3rd / 4th year) or master’s program, preferably in the field of nutrition, food technology, communication, marketing, or (international) business.
You are interested in sustainability and the food system
Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
You are fluent in both English and Dutch.

A team player who continuously wants to learn. A positive, critical mindset, proactive attitude and passion for getting things done are key attributes we seek.

Foodvalley is looking for an addition to the team for 32-36 hours per week. Besides a good compensation, we value a good work-life balance and offer the possibility to work hybrid. Foodvalley's office is in Wageningen, on the campus of Wageningen University & Research. We offer a hybrid internship, allowing you to work remotely and on-site.
