Job Purpose and Impact
The Continuous Improvement area within Operations focuses on process optimisation, the implementation of technology tools, and the development of initiatives that increase efficiency, productivity and quality across operations. It works across functions with different areas to identify improvement opportunities and generate value for the business.
Key Responsibilities
The role may involve some of the following (not necessarily all, depending on the specific area and the assignment):
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and the optimisation of operational processes.
• Take part in the development and implementation of technology tools (Power BI, automations, and similar).
• Analyse operational information to identify improvement opportunities.
• Produce reports, dashboards and presentations to track initiatives.
• Work with operational teams on the implementation of improvements.
• Support projects related to efficiency, productivity and cost reduction.
Qualifications
• Active student in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical or Food Engineering, or a related field.
• Availability to undertake the internship.
• Interest in process improvement, data analysis or digital transformation.
• Analytical skills and critical thinking.
• Proficiency with Excel (Power BI or other tools desirable).
• Intermediate English (desirable).
• Availability for an on-site internship in Mercedes, with the option of hybrid flexibility depending on place of residence.
