Job Description
Belize Mills Limited is looking for an experienced Quality & Food Safety Coordinator to lead our quality assurance, food safety, and pest management programs. What You'll Do
- Own the facility's food safety and quality assurance programs, including HACCP and related prerequisite programs
- Lead our integrated pest management program, from daily inspections to coordinating with external pest control operators
- Drive compliance with regulatory, corporate, customer, and third-party audit requirements
- Serve as the go-to contact for auditors and regulatory agencies during inspections
- Train and guide employees on food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
- Investigate incidents and complaints, and turn findings into real process improvements
- Provide functional leadership to the Sanitation team
- Collaborate across production, operations, sales, and technical teams to keep quality front and center
- Monitor and analyze food safety metrics, maintaining accurate records and documentation
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in food safety/QA within food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and BRC food safety standards
- Experience coordinating food safety audits and running HACCP training
- Working knowledge of plant operations, ideally in milling or food processing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) for reporting, documentation, and cross-team communication
- Strong communicator who can train, influence, and collaborate at every level of the organization
Good to Know
This role is based in an active manufacturing environment — expect exposure to heat, dust, heights, and physical activity throughout the day. Wheat and wheat-containing materials are present as part of the production process.
