The R&D specialist for bioprocesses will contribute to food technology projects, with a primary focus on lab scale bioreactor cultivations of yeast and bacteria and respective downstream processes.
The main functions include:
1. Yeast and bacteria cultivations in batch, fedbatch and continuous mode
2. Analysis of fermentation samples (HPLC and other analytical methods)
3. Application of downstream processes for product separation, fractionation and formulation
4. Process data analysis
5. Preparation of project reports to the project lead and stakeholders

Technical skills
Required
- MSc in biotechnology, biochemical engineering, food technology or related fields
- Knowledge of yeast and bacteria metabolism
- Knowledge of microbial cultivation techniques (batch, fedbatch)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
An asset
- Experience in biotech or fermentation industry
- Knowledge and understanding of process automation and control
- Familiarity with data science
