About The Role
Join Kerry's Biotechnology Centre in Leipzig as a Preclinical Research Senior Scientist, where you'll help discover and develop innovative functional ingredients that support human and companion animal health. Working with advanced preclinical models and cross-functional scientific teams, you'll design and execute research programmes, generate meaningful scientific insights, and contribute to the development of next-generation health solutions in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
Key responsibilities
Utilise, internalise and develop preclinical models to discover and characterise new functional ingredients to positively impact human health
Collaboratively develop and execute clear research project plans, analyse and interpret results using appropriate analysis tools and statistics
Prepare scientific publications, protocols, technical project reports and presentations for stakeholders
Provide scientific and technological support for laboratory projects as assigned/needed
Participate in a culture of curiosity, continuous learning and original idea generation to drive the development of innovative solutions to support human and companion animal health
Cross-functional collaboration with scientific teams in complementary business areas

Qualifications And Skills
Educational qualifications PhD in a biomedical sciences field, completed postdoctoral fellowship a plus
Full professional proficiency in English and German
Systems skills MS Office, GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, experience with R, bioinformatics analysis a plus
Experienced in good experimental design and accurate record keeping
Effective written and oral communication skills
Experience to prepare professional scientific reports and articles
Independent, self-starter, with demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple unrelated projects and deliver milestones on aggressive timelines
