THE TEAM
You will join a small, senior platform team that works with engineers and data scientists. The platform includes AWS and GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes/ECS services, Linux IoT devices deployed in commercial kitchens, data and ML workloads, and an on-premises GPU cluster.
THE ROLE
Design and operate the internal platform that helps Winnow engineers build and ship software safely. A current priority is developing guardrails, paved paths, evaluations, permissions and cost controls for agent-assisted engineering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and build platform capabilities for agent-assisted engineering, including guardrails, golden paths, evaluations and cost controls.
• Build and operate developer pathways that make production delivery safer and reduce manual deployment steps.
• Own AWS and GCP infrastructure as code with Terraform/Terragrunt, across ECS services and EKS platform components.
• Improve CI/CD feedback, deployment safety and rollback practices with development teams.
• Support data science and AI workloads, including Airflow pipelines, SageMaker and GPU scheduling.
• Debug issues across cloud infrastructure, databases, containers, networks and edge devices.
ABOUT YOU
The role asks for experience in computer science, computer engineering, IT or a related area; AWS and Linux/networking fundamentals; infrastructure as code (Terraform or OpenTofu); ECS/Kubernetes; Bash plus Python or Go; and CI/CD pipelines you have built and maintained. Observability, GitOps, Airflow/SageMaker/MLflow, LLM infrastructure, security tooling, databases and IoT/edge experience are useful. Clear communication, ownership and collaboration across time zones are important.
WORK LOCATION
Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Hybrid work, with office attendance on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Applicants must be eligible to work in Romania without visa sponsorship.
