The Environmental Sustainability Analyst is responsible for the development, integrity, and reporting of environmental performance metrics at New Belgium Brewing Company. This role serves as the enterprise subject matter expert on accounting standards and the lead for mandatory and voluntary environmental reporting. This role facilitates identification of actionable opportunities for improved environmental performance and reduced environmental risk through development and maintenance of the Greenhouse Gas forecasting and modeling tools. This position works within the Environmental Programs team, reporting to the Environmental Program Director, and partners cross-departmentally with IT and BI on data collection and efficacy of end user tools and analytics.

Essential Duties:
Responsible for acquisition, transformation, integrity, and documentation of primary data, conversion factors, and emissions factors requisite to reporting standards and certifications including, but not limited to, Science Based Targets (WRI GHG-P), Product Carbon Neutral Certification (PAS 2060, ISO 14067), IFRS, SASB, GRI, and RE100.
Collaborates with Global accounting manager to ensure shareholder disclosures of environmental metrics and risks are correct and consistent across all mandatory or voluntary enterprise reporting standards.
Collaborates with Environmental Programs team members to forecast progress towards annual and long-term greenhouse gas targets utilizing appropriate greenhouse gas emission factors, supply chain partner activities, planned capital project execution, brand mix, and sales forecast.
Drives the efficacy of environmental analytics by improving the resolution, frequency, and specificity of reporting and Key Performance Indicators.
Partners with the Supply Chain Sustainability Program Manager to ensure supplier partner reporting initiatives are consistent with the development of verifiable Scope 3 emissions reporting.
Develops and maintains tools to support the design review of capital projects, product portfolio changes, and recipe formulation as germane to carbon neutral and environmental impact goals.
Partners with Marketing, Communications, and Sales teams to maintain accuracy of environmental claims. Acts as liaison to trade organizations implementing or developing environmental reporting standards applicable to New Belgium’s operations and environmental commitments.

Education/ Experience/Skills:
3+years professional work experience in greenhouse gas accounting, environmental data management.
Life cycle assessment, or similar secondary degree. Familiarity with PAS 2060, IFSR, GRI, SASB, and TCFD reporting standards.
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of data to deliver accurate reporting and actionable opportunities for improvement.
Requires a bachelor’s degree.
Excellent computer skills; proficient in MS Office Suite, experience with Power BI or Tableau.
Excellent project management and organizational skills required. Proactive, self-initiated, agile.

Starting Salary Range: $50,000 - $66,000A
