Senior Food Technologist – Natural Colors | Princeton Metro Area, NJ (On-Site)

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Food Technologist to join our U.S. team and lead the development of natural color applications for food and beverages.

About the Role
As a Senior Food Technologist, you will lead the development and optimization of food color applications, directly support customer implementation, and help expand the global adoption of natural colorants. This is a hands-on role that blends technical formulation, strategic collaboration, and customer-facing engagement.
What you'll be doing:
· Prepare and apply natural food color samples for various food and beverage applications, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
· Conduct on-site product demonstrations and customer visits to support onboarding and showcase product capabilities.
· Troubleshoot formulation challenges and drive effective solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
· Maintain clear technical documentation for sample protocols, testing outcomes, and customer feedback.
· Collaborate across internal functions and global teams to develop and scale new product applications.
· Support international projects, regulatory adaptation, and global customer needs as required.
What we're looking for:
· 5+ years of hands-on experience in food applications, product development, or formulation, preferably in customer-facing or application support roles.
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field.
· Strong formulation and process execution skills, with attention to detail and quality in sample preparation and testing.
· Experience with food colorants, understanding their behavior, stability, and interaction with other ingredients, is a strong advantage.
· Familiarity with food additives and functional ingredients is preferred.
· Proficiency in project tracking and documentation tools, such as Asana or similar platforms.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical content to diverse audiences.
· Self-driven, adaptable, and organized, with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
· Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally to support customer engagement and collaboration.
