Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Comply with the organization’s core values, company policies, and safety management systems (e.g., HIRA, LSR, EASI) while supporting ISO, GMP, HACCP, and 5S initiatives.
- Assist in the smooth operation of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), including start-up, shutdown, and monitoring to achieve desired performance and compliance.
- Record and report process conditions, abnormalities, and equipment performance in logbooks and to supervisors promptly.
- Operate and maintain key equipment (filter press, DAF, decanter), perform troubleshooting, and ensure proper cleaning and upkeep.
- Conduct influent and effluent analysis, ensuring discharge meets regulatory standards and updating records as per legal requirements.
- Segregate scheduled/non-scheduled waste, manage disposal arrangements with contractors, and maintain a clean waste storage area.
- Monitor sludge disposition, chemical inventory, energy, and water consumption to support cost control and operational efficiency.
- Liaise with production, maintenance, SHE, and other departments; provide on-the-job training to contract workers when required.
- Participate in ETP meetings, compulsory training, and contribute to cost reduction and service improvement initiatives.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Minimum SPM or equivalent; Diploma in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field is an advantage.
- At least 2 years of experience in wastewater treatment or plant operations
- Familiarity with effluent treatment processes and regulatory compliance
- Ability to operate and maintain ETP equipment (filter press, DAF, decanter).
- Basic knowledge of water analysis and chemical handling.
- Understanding of scheduled and non-scheduled waste management.
