SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE - $2,500 for day shift hire and $3,500 for night shift hire - this will be paid out over a 1-year period
IFF is seeking laboratory technicians to join our team in Gibson City, IL. As a Lab Tech in this location, you will work in a unionized, industrial laboratory environment. Ten-hour days per week, as well as weekends and holidays, are required. We offer a competitive benefits package. This includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation, holiday and a bonus plan.
Primary responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:
Perform Analytical and Micro testing on process and finished products
Observe lab equipment operations and troubleshoot malfunctions
Adjust lab operating equipment
Maintain lab equipment
May be exposed to high noise areas
May be exposed to hazardous chemicals
Minimum qualifications for this position include:
4 Year degree or 2 years lab experience
Ability to work safely, including but not limited to use of proper personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes
Must be comfortable working with computerized control systems
Able to tolerate exposure to hot and cold conditions, according to the season
Must be in good physical health
Must be able to climb ladders
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to read/write and follow instructions
Must be able to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively
Ability to determine proper tools and equipment needed to perform a task
