Scent – Application Laboratory:
The Application Technician executes and supports the fragrance design and creation process by preparing samples that meet project and customer requirements, ensuring proper management of raw materials, documentation, and equipment. The role also produces applied samples for specific end uses, conducts stability studies, and prepares evaluations following established protocols for internal reviews or customer presentations—ensuring quality, efficiency, and on‑time delivery.
This position is based on‑site in Bogotá, Colombia.
Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Compound fragrance formulas following the guidelines provided by the Scent Lab leadership.
- Apply fragrances in different matrices according to project specifications.
- Prepare step‑by‑step evaluations according to category‑specific project protocols.
- Plan and execute stability studies in line with client requirements and internal procedures.
- Read stability results and generate reports for internal and external customers.
Laboratory‑specific responsibilities include:
- Organize, label, monitor availability, and manage expiration of raw materials.
- Record usage of raw materials controlled by regulatory authorities (FNE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Properly dispose of oils, applications, and consumables following defined procedures.
- Maintain fragrance banks, sample libraries, and updated inventories (inputs, bases, capsules, raw materials).
- Deliver oils in a timely manner for physicochemical analysis to the Quality team.
- Prepare stability analysis reports and optimize them under supervision.
- Request, maintain, and support purchasing of laboratory supplies.
- Prepare inputs and samples for consumer testing.
- Collect, enter, and tabulate laboratory KPIs.
- Maintain and manage internal laboratory documentation.
- Develop, update, and administer laboratory protocols, evaluation procedures, and customer formulas.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support onboarding and training of new employees or temporary workers.
- Participate in Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (HSE/SG‑SSTA) activities, reporting health conditions, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.

- Student or graduate in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific fields.
- Basic to intermediate English proficiency (reading comprehension).
- Knowledge of sensory analysis and aroma chemistry.
- Proficiency with office tools (documentation, data entry, reporting).

Training & Certifications
