We are looking for a Lab Technician to join our US R&D team.
In this position, you will play an essential role contributing towards our greater goal of providing animal-free egg protein ingredients to the world. Ultimately, we aim to be part of building a sustainable food system with the help of our partners throughout the world. Towards this goal our US R&D team will develop and analyze products utilizing Bioalbumen® as a direct replacement for egg in a wide range of food applications.
Your responsibilities as Lab Technician:
Support food science product development work through benchtop testing and data collection
Develop and validate SOPs for analytical and preparation equipment
Lab management including logistical planning and maintenance of equipment, restocking lab consumables and reagents, coordinating with external vendors, and contributing to lab cleaning
Maintain accurate research records using electronic lab notebooks and databases
Who we are looking for:
Completed bachelor’s degree in sciences (e.g. chemistry, biology, food science, engineering)
Previous laboratory experience
Proficiency in laboratory techniques with a focus on accuracy, precision, and reliability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and strong mastery of Excel
Ability to work independently

Physical demands:
Tasting and evaluating a wide range of food products (including egg products, baked and confectionary goods, and other food matrices) for sensory attributes such as flavor, aroma, texture, and appearance.
Prolonged periods of standing or sitting during laboratory work and computer-based analysis.
Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
