• Salary: up to £40,000, depending on experience
• Hybrid role: Travel to the York office at least once per week
• Travel for retailer and customer meetings

THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the owner of the business, the National Account Manager will play a key role in managing and developing national retail and foodservice accounts.
This is a broad, hands-on commercial role, offering significant exposure across all customer accounts and responsibility typically associated with more senior positions in larger FMCG organisations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a varied and commercially focused role, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing day-to-day retailer and foodservice communications
• Supporting and leading Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and customer reviews
• Preparing and presenting customer presentations
• Supporting and leading commercial negotiations
• Driving listings, distribution and range development
• Forecasting, planning and tracking account performance
• Identifying growth opportunities and proactively addressing challenges
• Working cross-functionally with marketing, operations and supply chain
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone with strong commercial capability, initiative and drive.
You will ideally have:
• Previous FMCG sales or account management experience (essential)
• Experience working with UK grocery retailers and/or foodservice
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and insight
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• The ability to operate effectively in a small, agile team
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
• A genuine interest in food, brands and FMCG
