The Sales Representative is responsible for managing and developing the artisan gelato market within the Central–Northern regions of Germany. The role includes supporting and coordinating the activities of existing sales agents, managing and assisting area distributors, developing key accounts, and directly covering uncovered areas as a frontline salesperson. The position requires strong market knowledge, proactive customer management, and an analytical approach to competition and trends.
Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Support and oversee sales agents across the Central–Northern Germany region to ensure strong market coverage.
- Coordinate sales activities, offer guidance, and accompany agents on customer visits as needed.
- Manage and develop distributors through joint visits, product trainings, and business reviews.
- Execute direct sales activities in uncovered or underdeveloped areas within the territory.
- Acquire new customers while nurturing and consolidating existing business relationships.
- Manage large and strategic accounts in the region.
- Continuously analyze market trends in the artisan gelato and broader food service sectors.
- Identify opportunities and threats and communicate actionable insights to management.
- Prepare and deliver periodic sales reports, forecasts, and visit summaries to the Sales Director for Germany and Austria.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Solid track record in sales within the food industry, ideally within food service.
- Previous experience in the artisan gelato market is a strong advantage.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to collaborate with agents, distributors, and key customers.
- Strong analytical mindset and market-oriented approach.
- Highly autonomous with strong organizational and goal-oriented working style.
- Comfortable managing a large territory and willing to travel extensively.
- Native-level German and a good command of English; Italian is an appreciated plus.
