Position Overview: The IT Support Technician plays a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to end-users within the organization. This position is responsible for resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and peripherals. The IT Support Technician collaborates with cross-functional teams, delivers exceptional customer service, and contributes to maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Configures and maintains computer systems, networks, and related hardware and software.
Provides technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving network connectivity problems, and assisting with software installations and upgrades.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams on interdepartmental projects.
Responds to service requests and incidents promptly, documenting and tracking issues in a ticketing system.
Assists in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Creates and maintains documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, trainings, standards, and user guides.
Stays current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure the organization's systems and networks are up-to-date and secure.
Assists in the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Creates and maintains comprehensive system and network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration details, and standard operating procedures.
Provides technical documentation and training to team members and end-users as needed.
Participates in on-call rotations and provides after-hours support as needed.
Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Understanding of server hardware configuration.
Understanding of Microsoft Windows Servers and Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online.
Ability to administer Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Active Directory/AAD, Azure, and Group Policy Objects, and Intune.
Basic PowerShell skills.
Basic knowledge of IP-based network routing and troubleshooting.
Ability to monitor and troubleshoot VoIP systems.
Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to computers and software applications.
Basic proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to networks and servers.
Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other network protocols.
Ability to provide technical support and effectively interact with users through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines.
Ability to balance multiple needs and priorities.
Effective time management skills.
Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in IT support.
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Familiarity with Nutanix solutions.
Familiarity with Cisco solutions.
Ability to read, understand, and communicate information effectively in English with professional proficiency.

Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.
Education and Experience:
1 or more years of experience in IT support or related roles, AND
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; OR
Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.
Must hold or plan to complete the following professional certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or MCSA.
Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands:
Position requires the ability to sit for up to approximately two hours at a time.
May be required to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
The primary work environment for this position is within an office setting.
Travel to other facilities may be required up to 15% of the time in a workweek.
Hybrid or occasional remote work may be available as an option.
