About the job
Behind every great product is… a slightly obsessive relationship with details.
At Juicy Marbles, quality & safety isn’t just about ticking boxes - it’s what allows us to scale, enter new markets and make sure every product lands exactly as intended. From ingredients to labels to final products, things need to be accurate, compliant and consistent. We’re fun, but not about this ;)
We’re looking for a Junior Specialist for Quality & Safety - someone who enjoys structure, doesn’t mind digging through documentation and gets a weird sense of satisfaction from things being correct, aligned and compliant.
If you’re curious how food, science and regulation actually come together in real life (not just in theory), this might be your kind of role.
What would you be doing?
Supporting quality & food safety activities across the full product lifecycle
Managing and monitoring allergens (risk assessments, labeling, production compliance)
Contribute to food fraud prevention (VACCP), including supplier and raw material vulnerability assessments
Preparing, reviewing and updating product documentation (specs, shelf life, technical data)
Developing and validating labels in line with legislation and market requirements
Keeping an eye on regulations and making sure we stay compliant (and ahead where possible)
Managing certifications and labels
Working with external manufacturers to keep documentation and processes aligned
Supporting onboarding of new customers and their specific requirements
Providing technical support to sales, marketing and customer service
Planning and coordinating internal monitoring (testing, sampling, corrective actions)
Helping maintain HACCP documentation and food safety systems
What do you need?
1+ year of experience in quality, food safety or a related field (food industry, microbiology, certification, etc.)
Basic understanding of food safety systems
A structured, detail-oriented way of working
Ability to handle data and documentation without losing your mind
Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams
Fluent in English and Slovene
Bonus skills (wanted & prized, but optional)
Understanding of product and technology development processes
Experience with certifications, labeling or regulatory compliance
Familiarity with food production or product development processes
Experience with quality/safety tools, systems or lab work
Our offer:
The trust and space to learn, grow and take on more ownership over time
A team of creators who care about food, science and doing things properly
Location: Domžale, Slovenia
Schedule: Mostly mornings, with some flexibility later on depending on what’s happening
Salary: Let’s talk - we have a range in mind, but we’re curious about your expectations
Perks like choosing your own equipment, free coffee however you like it (Turkish, coffee machine or filter - we take this seriously) and a team that’s open, curious and easy to work with
And yes - access to some of the most unbelievable plant-based whole-cut pieces out there.
