As a BlackLine System Administrator, you will manage end to end administration and operational support of the BlackLine Account Reconciliations and Task modules. This role is responsible for user access management, master data maintenance, data interfaces, reporting, and audit support, while ensuring strong system controls, data quality, and a timely financial close. The role also includes end user training, functional testing, and evaluation of new BlackLine features and releases in partnership with Finance, IT, and Closing teams.
The role reports to Assistant Manager.
Where You’ll Make a Difference
Manage BlackLine user access including provisioning, modifications, revocations, issue resolution, ITGC evidence, and end‑user training.
Maintain BlackLine master data such as organizational and team structures, reconciliation templates, account assignments, rules, thresholds, and data quality checks.
Execute and monitor data interfaces and integrations (SAP/ERP), including account and currency loads, manual uploads, period settings, and coordination with IT and Close teams.
Configure and monitor automated processes, dashboards, alerts, and reports to enhance visibility and operational efficiency.
Prepare and deliver global, regional, and center‑level BlackLine reports, along with regular status updates to stakeholders.
Act as the primary point of contact for BlackLine incidents, enhancements, testing, releases, system upgrades, and related change management activities.
Support internal and external audits by facilitating walkthroughs, providing reconciliations, and ensuring proper documentation, controls, and audit evidence.
Provide end‑to‑end administrative support for user queries, ad‑hoc requests, and additional activities assigned by management.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation within BlackLine.
What Makes You the Right Fit
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / MBA (Finance) or a related field.
5+ years of experience in BlackLine administration, with strong expertise in Account Reconciliations and Task modules.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial close processes, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and understanding of upstream/downstream financial data flows.
Strong knowledge of SOX, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
High attention to detail with a can‑do, ownership mindset.
Strong team player with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a global environment.
How Would You Stand Out?
Experience driving BlackLine process optimization, automation, or standardization initiatives.
Exposure to multi‑entity, global close environments with high transaction volumes.
Proven ability to partner with IT, Finance, and Audit teams to deliver stable and scalable solutions.
Experience supporting BlackLine upgrades, testing cycles, and change management.
Strong documentation skills and a track record of improving audit readiness.
