We are looking for an enthusiastic Plant Cell Culture Researcher that is eager to make an impact in the cacao industry. Yes, it means also indulgence and sweets.
Based in Haifa, Israel, Kokomodo ltd., is working to develop cacao products using plant cell culture, in the food-tech sector. We aim to create a better world through developing more sustainable and healthier plant-based food, crafted according to people’s needs.
We are seeking a talented and innovative Plant Cell Culture expert to join our growing team at the forefront of cellular agriculture. As a key member of our R&D team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing cacao cell suspension cultures, support experiments and process optimization in the laboratory.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the tissue culture work in Kokomodo
• Establish and maintain plant cell suspension culture lines under sterile and controlled conditions
• Develop new methods in the cell culture field
• Assist in conducting experiments from design to execution and analysis
• Establish and work according to company’s SOPs and policies
• Train colleagues
Requirements:
• An MSc degree or above in Plant Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology or other relevant scientific discipline-
MUST
• Experience with plant cell suspension or culture- MUST
• Data analysis and experimental design experience
• Experience with work in an R&D environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Competent in understanding and following protocols and procedures
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• A strong team-player
• Capable of working independently
• Full-time position
