PRIME FUNCTION
1 Lead the Quality Management Department to manage food safety risks and to ensure raws/packaging and all products produced at Singapore Plant (VIS) and OEM factories for Singaporean and Export markets shall comply to the food safty standards and comply to regulatory for local and export markets.
2 Ascertain and enhance the Food Safety and Quality System to be implemented effectively and efficiently in Hong Kong Plant from raw material control through process control, product release control, and sales and distribution.
MAIN DUTIES
1 Lead the Quality Management Department to execute the total quality management functions and to drive the total quality culture in Vitasoy Singapore Operations (VIS).
2 Develop technical competence in the areas of quality system audit, CIP/cleaning program and processing validations, as well as lab management in microbial and chemical analysis.
3 Develop staff competency for key management position successors to build up a strong QM team.
4 Well manage and monitor the trends of complaint cases received from customer or consumers and report to the management in a regular and timely manner
5 Lead the Quality Team to execute the following functions effectively and efficiently:
5.1 Execute effective quality management functions in the areas of
- quality system audit, such as ISO22000, ISO9001, HACCP, GMP and GLP, USDA & EU Organic, Kosher and HALAL system etc,
- incoming QC / supplier management with constructive suggestion and follow up.
- inline QC,
- factory release QC
- Quality Performance and
- laboratory management etc
5.2 Achieve target quality KPI as agreed with Group Quality Management tea and report timely with details analysis
5.3 Handle product customer complaints and feedback with analysis of trends and identified root cause and rectification.
5.4 Monitor the trend and provide improvement suggestions for implementation on consumer complaint, quality performance of raw materials and processing line, as well as raw materials / product wastage etc
5.5 Provide technical support to capex validation
5.6 Be responsible for sourcing and identifying new and alternative ingredients and/or suppliers
5.7 Handle product development projects and conduct trial runs for new product and new process by liaising with Group R&D team.
5.8 Review recipes, labelings to ensure regulatory compliance for local and export countries.
6 Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
Qualification:
- University degree or above in Food Science, Engineering, Quality Management or related disciplines
Experience:
- Min 10 years of working experience in FMCG Food / Beverage industries
- Min 8 years of QA and QC working experience at management level
- Technical mastery with total quality management system, food manufacturing, food safety and overall business risks
- Good knowledge and skills in audits, GMP, ISO, HACCP Team Lead experience will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of local food legislation and regulatory.
