The Logistics department is part of Operations and sits within the Supply Chain function. In the factory and warehouse in Enschede, as Logistics Foreman you are responsible - together with the logistics team and the Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor - for correctly receiving, storing, and shipping raw materials and semi-finished products.
The Logistics Foreman is a hands-on role within the logistics team. You are actively involved in daily operations while keeping a helicopter-view overview of the entire logistics process. Drawing on your experience and knowledge, you support, guide, and coordinate the daily work of the inbound and outbound specialists. You have a directing role on the shop floor without formal hierarchical responsibility - both you and the inbound/outbound specialists report directly to the Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor.
You ensure correct administrative processing of logistics activity in the ERP and WMS systems and maintain contact with carriers and external warehouses for the call-off, storage, and shipment of goods. You monitor progress, flag bottlenecks in the logistics process, and escalate in a timely manner when needed. Together with the Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor, you prepare and support internal and external inventory counts, and you actively contribute to optimizing and continuously improving logistics processes within Beyond Meat.
Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing goods
Receiving, checking, and administratively processing incoming and outgoing goods and related documentation
Correct administrative processing of logistics activity in ERP and WMS systems
Preparing and signing off on waybills, packing lists, and transfer orders
Storing goods under the correct conditions
Coordinating and maintaining contact with carriers, external warehouses, and external production sites for the call-off, storage, and shipment of goods
Monitoring daily progress of logistics work and flagging bottlenecks in a timely manner
Functionally directing, guiding, and supporting the logistics team on the shop floor
Maintaining overview and priorities within the logistics process from a helicopter view
Supporting the Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor with staff planning and daily operational coordination
Supporting the Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor with performance reviews and absence/return-to-work guidance
Preparing and conducting weekly inventory counts and supporting quarterly stocktakes
Checking storage conditions and inventory levels
Flagging, reporting, and escalating deviations or disruptions within the logistics process
Checking kit composition against batching sheets
Supporting onboarding of new products and monitoring correct storage conditions
Actively participating in daily operational meetings
Drafting improvement proposals to optimize logistics processes
Working to the highest standards of food safety and GMP
Performing checks and basic maintenance on forklifts, pallet trucks (EPTs), and other internal transport equipment
Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment
Actively contributing to a "safety-first" culture by identifying, preventing, and resolving hazardous situations
Requirements:
MBO level 4 (Logistics)
Forklift certificate, or willingness to obtain one
At least 3-5 years of demonstrable work experience in a logistics role, preferably within the food or manufacturing industry
Experience with forklifts, pallet trucks (EPT), and stackers
Experience with ERP and WMS systems
Experience with MS Office, including Word and Excel
Experience in a coordinating, coaching, or supervisory role within an operational environment
Knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, and warehouse operations
Compensation: Annual salary commensurate with experience. The starting annual base pay for this role is between EUR 40,470.24 and EUR 42,860.40 (excluding holiday allowance). The actual base pay depends on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands, and may also include bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits.
