Who We Are: Banza reimagines your favorite comfort foods, like pasta, pizza, mac & cheese, rice, and waffles, using chickpeas. Why? Because we know chickpeas aren’t just delicious; they’re also one of the most nutritious and sustainable foods. Yet 80% of the country isn’t eating enough of them. Our mission is to inspire people to eat more chickpeas and other beans, making a positive impact on human health and the environment. Banza is the #1 better-for-you pasta brand in the country, and our products are available in over 21,000 stores nationwide. We’ve been named one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of the Year, Adweek’s Best Food Brand, and are proud to have fans at Good Morning America, The New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, and more.
Your Mission: As Banza’s Senior Brand Marketing Associate, you’ll own many of the most important ways Banza shows up in the real world: our brand ambassador program, our events and trade shows, our packaging and design output, and our influencer and creator partnerships. You’ll be well supported with resourcing: you’ll manage a desk of external designers, a tradeshow agency, an influencer consultancy, and anything else you need to manage multiple important workstreams. It’s an extremely exciting opportunity to touch multiple different parts of
marketing. This role reports to the VP of Brand Marketing.
What You’ll Do:
Project Manage Expertly
Own the master calendar across packaging, influencer campaigns, ambassador activations and events, and and keep every stakeholder on track
Build and maintain the trackers, briefs, and intake processes along with help from partners
Triage competing requests from Sales, Product, Ops, and leadership, and make the call on what moves and what waits
Packaging & design outsourcing
Own the end-to-end packaging process across product lines, from brief through QC and print-ready files
Own our freelance designer bench: match the right designer to the right project, brief them well, negotiate rates, manage timelines, and hold the quality bar on what comes back
Run packaging and shelf audits to find opportunities for in-store breakthrough, and bring recommendations to the table
Influencer & creator partnerships
Manage the day-to-day relationship with our influencer consultancy and freelance partner, supporting the development of influencer strategy & briefs, while they lead execution..
Ensure the paid social team always has enough strong UGC to work with
Identify where the current playbook is stale and propose new formats, platforms, and partners to test.
Events and Ambassador
Plan and execute all trade shows and events, from Expo West to retailer roadshows: booth logistics, swag, collateral, staffing, and on-site run of show
Manage our booth agency and event vendors
Oversee a demo agency & plan in store demos
Manage a team of external ambassadors who are building local superfan communities in their hometowns
Track performance, share learnings, and make the case for where to expand or pull back
Who you are:
You are an exceptional project manager - You are hyper organized. Nothing falls through the cracks, and people know that about you.
You’re excited to oversee a lot - Four workstreams sounds energizing to you, not alarming. You’d rather be busy across a range of projects than deep on one..
You have about 4-6 years of marketing experience - Ideally with time spent in influencer, events, packaging, or brand marketing at a CPG food and beverage company
You get great work out of external partners - You’ve briefed designers, creators, or agencies before, and you know how to give feedback that gets you a better second round.
You’re a clear writer and communicator - You explain the “why” behind your thinking, and your briefs leave no room for guessing.
You’re a self-starter - You chase down answers, follow up, and don’t need a manager to unblock you on the small stuff.
You’re excited about Banza - You have a real interest in food and the culture around it.
