Green Umbrella has an available opportunity to manage its Food Policy Council program. The Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council brings together stakeholders to create a resilient regional food system together through policy and systems change. Green Umbrella is seeking a lead staff member for this program to unite and coordinate the activities of the Council and support Green Umbrella membership on food systems and policy actions.
The position will:
Facilitate Food Policy Council and related working groups, including meeting design and communications.
Meet with network members and participate in community events to hear people’s food-related interests, concerns, and ideas; facilitate connections between network members; participate in committees and coalitions outside of Green Umbrella that are working towards mutually beneficial activities.
Annual programmatic planning for the Food Policy Council to ensure focus on strategic priorities.
Manage a diverse team of partners that make up the Food Policy Council to execute the strategies and tactics of the Council. This includes recruiting representatives to serve on the Council.
Conduct data and story collection, coordination on shared measures, evaluation and impact reporting.
Deliver food-focused programming and strategies into the work of the regional climate collaborative and the benefits it delivers to member organizations.
The successful candidate will have:
Two (2) years’ experience working in related roles or with increasing related responsibilities
Two years’ experience in multi-sector collaboration.
Experience in working or volunteering with food system and/or policy related organizations or events.
Associates or Bachelor degree in related fields of study preferred.
Proven leadership and collaboration skills
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Starting pay range of $50,000 to $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
