The Senior Analytics Engineer will be focused on maintaining our data pipelines using a product framework to develop company-wide data infrastructure and solutions empowering all PC employees to effectively understand, manage, curate, and analyze their relevant data. The role will encompass both data systems and data analytics, synthesizing feedback from different teams in order to develop rigorous data products (dbt models, BI dashboards or ad hoc analysis). In a nutshell, own the scaffold within which we will build resilient, scalable data pipelines so we can move faster and gain better insights into how our business performs.
Location:
This role will be based out of our Needham MA - 2-3 days a week office and operate in a Hybrid model.
On the Plate:
- Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of end-to-end data pipelines and infrastructure, from ingestion through transformation and analytics.
- Develop, test, and optimize data models and data warehouse architecture, with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and robust documentation practices.
- Implement and uphold data governance standards, including data dictionaries, lineage, and access controls.
- Build and maintain BI dashboards and reports using modern tools.
- Support ad hoc and exploratory data analysis, and assist with basic data science tasks such as feature engineering and building simple predictive models.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, and business logic.
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver insights, and promote data literacy across the organization.
Main Ingredients for this role:
- 5+ years in the data space as an analyst, data scientist, data engineer or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and dbt for data transformation, automation, and modeling.
- Demonstrated experience architecting and managing data warehouses, with hands-on experience using Amazon Redshift.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using modern data stack technologies (e.g., dbt, Stitch, dlt, or similar).
- Strong background in data quality assurance, governance frameworks, and best practices for documentation.
- Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Looker or Sigma.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in or supporting a B2C subscription business model a plus.
