The Sourcing Specialist will manage eSourcing events end to end based on the needs and strategies of different category teams. While being the SME of the process it is expected that they will actively search for improvement opportunities such as process modernization and improvement projects through the vigorous application of re-engineering, optimization, and automation methodologies, incorporating industry best practices systematically into Global Procurement processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in procurement processes, along with technical skills in Excel, Access, macros, queries, and ideally some process automation experience. Familiarity with freight, duty calculations, tariff structures, trade compliance and basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, or similar) to support custom tool development structures is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Procurement Operations
- Independently manage sourcing events from scoping to baseline and analysis through to data input for contracting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define sourcing strategies, and execute e-tendering processes.
- Manage and utilize e-tender platforms and digital sourcing tools to support efficient and transparent procurement activities.
- Apply a strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence.
- Operate and maintain ERP systems such as SAP, and procurement platforms like Coupa or Zycus, to streamline sourcing and purchasing workflows.
- Leverage IFF systems and tools, including SAP, Power BI, and Microsoft applications, to analyze data, generate reports, and support decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to compliance frameworks, including SOX, audit requirements, and the Global Authorization Policy, to uphold regulatory and corporate standards.
Process Optimization & Automation
- Driving innovation through automation, data, and smart solutions.
- Identify and resolve process bottlenecks through in-house solutions.
- Develop and implement automated workflows and reporting tools to streamline procurement operations.
- Knowledge & experience in process mapping and optimization.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including macros, VBA is a plus), Access, and data queries.
- Experience with process automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, or similar) is a plus, along with knowledge on Copilot (Agent Solutions).
Project Management & Collaboration
- Skilled in managing cross-functional projects with clear timelines and deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
- Demonstrates initiative and ownership beyond assigned tasks.
Leadership & Mentoring
- Provides guidance and feedback to peers and junior team members.
- Actively seeks and incorporates feedback to improve processes and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, proven experience in process improvement, or automation.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Average tenure in previous roles: 3+ years preferred.
