Are you a seasoned customs and trade compliance professional with a passion for international operations and regulatory excellence? We’re looking for a Senior Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist to support our European production sites, with a focus on Denmark. This is a dynamic, high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence our global trade strategy and operational efficiency – join us in shaping global trade excellence!
As a key member of our Global Trade team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customs and trade matters in the region, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth and compliant import/export operations. Your responsibilities mainly divide between operative tasks and tasks on regulations/compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure AEO customs compliancy and manage customs licenses IPR/End-Use for our site in Denmark
- Support local and regional business on customs and trade issues / opportunities
- Leading and supporting import/export operations, ensuring adherence to EU and international regulations
- Managing preferential origin processes and driving customs duty savings through FTAs and incentive programs
- Providing training and guidance to internal teams on trade compliance best practices
- Conducting self-audits, monitoring KPIs, and reporting on customs performance and saving
- Representing the Global Trade function in cross-functional and global projects
- Staying ahead of regulatory changes and assessing their impact on business operations
Our expectations for the ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Customs, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, or other related field
- 5+ years of experience in customs operations within an international environment
- Strong knowledge of EU customs and excise procedures, including harmonized tariff codes
- Experience with SAP-GTS or similar trade compliance systems
- Fluent in English and Danish (written and spoken)
