As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll be on the front lines of a rapidly growing movement to bring sustainable, regeneratively farmed kelp to more plates across North America.
Our company is built on bold vision and deep purpose: We partner with Maine fishermen to grow seaweed that actively improves the health of the ocean, supports working waterfronts, and nourishes people in entirely new ways. As a BDR, you'll have the unique opportunity to drive this mission forward by introducing our pioneering seaweed products to new customers and markets.

🌱 What You'll Do:
Be a Growth Catalyst – Prospect, research, and identify ideal partners and customers who align with our mission.
Own the First Impression – Execute thoughtful, strategic outbound outreach to build relationships and spark interest in ASF’s award-winning products.
Drive Mission-Aligned Sales – Set qualified discovery meetings and work alongside leadership to turn leads into long-term, values-aligned customer partnerships.
Tell Our Story – Create compelling proposals and presentations that showcase not just our products—but the bigger picture they support.
Fuel Regenerative Growth – Use CRM tools to track progress, refine approaches, and help scale seaweed as a climate-positive food staple.
🚀 What You Bring:
1+ years of sales experience, OR a relevant degree/internship in sales, marketing, or a related field
An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for B2B sales and meaningful work
Excellent communication skills, with confidence presenting and negotiating
A self-starter’s drive, paired with adaptability and a collaborative spirit
Curiosity, resilience, and excitement for working in a mission-first, fast-growing startup environment
📍 Location + Details:
Based in Biddeford, Maine (preferred) — remote work possible for the right candidate
Full-time | M–F | 40 hours/week
Some travel required to meet partners and attend industry events
đź’¸ Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $50,000–$65,000 + commission
Full suite of benefits: health, dental, vision, short-term disability, life insurance
2 weeks PTO + 13 paid holidays
