Lead R&D project to meet business milestones and deliverables, manage project timeline and leverage internal resources to push projects forward. Collaborate with marketing and production team for new product and service development to meet customer’s expectation. Design and engineer new RNA products based on in vitro transcription method, optimize RNA constructs and test new designs for its function. Generate, interpret and present data to project team. Maintain an up-to-date accurate lab notebook records of performed studies. Monitors supply inventory and identifies any products required. Maintains work area, equipment, department and all storage areas in a clean, neat and orderly manner. Train junior scientist with following project milestones, help your direct report to set goals, prioritize tasks and adequately communicate top-down organization vision to them. Have regular meeting with your direct reports, discussing priorities and challenges, alignment, decision-making, collaboration, and providing technical guidance on them, make your impact bigger. Provide evaluation and feedbacks for your direct report, encouraging personal improvement, avoid recurring mistakes, and encourage good behaviors. Provide suggestions to hiring, termination and performance review, build a strong team. Perform other duties as needed. Requirements: PhD's degree in molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, chemical engineering or related field. >2 years of relevant experience in molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, or related discipline in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Direct experience with nucleic acid design, synthesis, and assessment in tissue culture or animal models with a robust technical skill set to math. Strong collaborative instinct with good time and resource management skills. Broad molecular biology knowledge with the ability to apply engineering principles to solve problems. Works collaboratively with team members to support each other. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A sense of humility and an eagerness to continue to learn and contribute to a supportive team.
