ABOUT THE POSITION
The National Foodservice Sales Director is responsible for growing and managing Numi’s National Foodservice account sales efforts in US and Canada. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience growing a brand aggressively within the Foodservice channel and have established relationships with major chains, operators, distributors and brokers.
ABOUT YOU
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in foodservice sales (tea or beverage preferred).
Pre-existing relationships with large volume National Chain accounts, foodservice operators, Broad line distributors, Business & Industry and Buying Groups (Sodexo, Aramark, Avendra, Compass, etc.), gourmet/specialty distributors, successful brokerage teams, multi-unit and prestigious restaurants, hotels & resorts, cruise lines, airlines, and universities throughout the country, especially West Coast.
Comprehensive budget management skills with a keen eye on executing sales while ensuring customer/company profitability.
Strong sense of job ownership coupled with a solid team orientation.
Willing to travel extensively on behalf of company throughout USA and Canada to attend sales meetings, trainings, sales calls with operators, buyers, distributors, etc
Ability to think strategically as it pertains to sales and to communicate that effectively to the rest of the organization and to current and prospective customers.
Well organized and detail oriented with comprehensive professionalism and presentation skills.
Self-starter with ability to accomplish objectives with minimal supervision.
Good trouble shooter with strong multitasking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, database management programs, and PowerPoint.
Works well under pressure while meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage national account sales efforts throughout the country by identifying large volume, profitable national chains and distributor opportunities.
Expand Numi’s relationship and offerings within broadline and specialty distribution channels.
Expand Numi’s relationship and offerings within Business & Industry and Buying Group channels.
Set bi-weekly sales goals for brokers based on quarterly/monthly sales targets. Work effectively and efficiently to successfully manage team in achieving those goals.
Further develop the existing infrastructure in all markets (i.e. hiring brokers bringing additional distributors on line, etc.) and ensure that the Brokers’ and Distributors’ staff members are adequately trained on the Numi products and programs as well as establishing clear goals for success.
Develop quarterly sales and marketing objectives for each market and report monthly on the progress by distributor, broker and operator to Exec team.
Support and effectively manage the corporate programs for national chain customers including monthly and quarterly promotions.
Bottoms-up forecasting based-budgeting for sales and ongoing management of corresponding budget and profitability
Successful integration of marketing, brand strategy, and sales efforts with overall company vision and market trends.
Participate in all tradeshows on behalf of the Company as required.
Update and maintain the Company’s contact management software on a regular basis, including notes regarding all conversations with contacts, progress with sales leads, and all written correspondence and commitments made on behalf of the Company.
Maintain all company correspondence and communications as appropriate.
Salary range: base salary up to $155,000 plus incentive plan.
