Description
We are looking for a Replenishment Specialist to join our mission-driven team. As an integral part of the Supply Chain/Operations team, you will partner closely with the Replenishment Manager (to whom you will also report) in our ongoing effort to inspire people to eat more plants.
This position will play an important role in ensuring optimal inventory levels, minimizing waste, and maintaining seamless product availability across all product categories.
As the Replenishment Specialist, you will be focused on owning the end-to-end replenishment process, leveraging data to drive purchasing decisions, and keeping operations running smoothly across fulfillment centers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Location
- This role is based in Chicago, IL, with on-site presence at our fulfillment partner.
- Our hybrid approach includes 3-4 in-office days each week, giving teams the best of both flexibility and collaboration. Many team members choose to come in more often - it’s a great way to stay inspired and engaged with the team.
On the Plate
- Own the execution of the replenishment process, including sales analysis, purchase order creation, projections, and reporting
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels aligned with demand forecasts and sales orders
- Manage inventory to key parameters such as safety stock, reorder points, and lead times
- Partner with Fulfillment Center teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking, cycle counts, and issue resolution
- Manage FIFO/FEFO processes to minimize waste and maintain product freshness
- Serve as the primary liaison between warehouse operations and vendors to resolve backorders and urgent replenishment needs
- Analyze inventory trends, product lifecycle data, and performance to identify optimization opportunities
- Recommend and implement strategies for cost savings, waste reduction, and process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sourcing, Accounts Payable, Fulfillment, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Generate and communicate weekly inventory reports and actionable insights to stakeholders
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as necessary
Main Ingredients for the Role
- 2–4 years of experience in buying, forecasting, procurement, and/or supply chain management
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of demand planning, forecasting, and procurement processes
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and data tools (Google Sheets required; Excel preferred)
- Experience with cost calculations, purchasing, and quantity conversions
- Ability to build and manage spreadsheets (pivot tables, filters, and conditional formatting preferred)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage vendor relationships
- Ability to commute to our Chicago fulfillment location

- Experience with Fishbowl or similar ERP systems
- Background in food, meal kits, or production kitchen environments
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $60,000 – $75,000. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications, and the posted range is not a guarantee of any specific offer.
